A Smoothie is simply a combination of blended fruits/vegetables and it is yummy, nutrient dense and also easy to make as all you need to make a smoothie is a blender with preferred fruit/vegetables. A smoothie can be taken as a snack, that breakfast on the go, perfect replacement for fizzy drinks and also serves as a detox drink. Today I will be sharing with you all some of my favorite smoothie recipes made with affordable ingredients you can easily access in the market and also calorie friendly. 

BANANA CHOCOLATE SMOOTHIE
Bananas are extremely yummy and nutritious. They don't just satisfy our sweet tooth but they also provide our bodies with potassium. increase energy, aids digestion, helps cure ulcer and heartburn and provides the body with vitamin B6. Ingredients for this smoothie includes:

PAPAYA-GINGER  SMOOTHIE

This is one of my favorite smoothie and also Post workout drink. Pineapple contains Antioxidants, helps support the immune system, good for eye heathy, super sweet and yummy. Aside from satisfying sweet tooth drinking pineapple juice after a good workout help the muscle recover and also reduce soreness. Ingredients needed for this smoothie are:

WATERMELON AND PEAR SMOOTHIE
Watermelon hydrates the body, helps, promotes good heart, contains vitamin C while pear is high in fiber, promotes weight loss, aids digestion and also help fight diabetics. Ingredients needed are:

source of antioxidant, cleanse and detoxify the body from toxins, helps lowers cholesterol and blood pressure. when making green smoothies do ensure you use more vegetables and less fruits and for this green smoothie I used the following ingredients....

  • 1/4 cup of ugwu leaves (8 calories).
  • 1 green Apple (77 calories).
  • 1 tablespoon of ginger (6 calories).
