Beef Gravy and Mashed Potatoes Recipe

Eating healthy is all about balance. Depriving yourself of those foods you love shouldn't be an option as you can always make a healthy version of them. Gravy is super yummy but can be packed with lots of calories when prepared with cornstarch and butter.  Here is a healthy version of beef gravy accompanied with mashed potatoes and sauteed vegetables.

Preparation Dice beef, put in a pot and season with thyme, curry, nutmeg, salt, preferred seasoning and allow to cook until tender. Ensure the beef stock is the desired quantity you want, add chopped green beans, carrot, onions, red pepper and allow to cook for 5-6mins.Blend oats into powder form and dilute with lukewarm water. Reduce heat, gradually pour the diluted oats into the beef stock and stir.Allow to cook for another 5 minutes and your beef gravy is ready.Peel, wash and boil potatoes unit tender. Drain out the water, pour in a bowl and mas…
